An extraordinary track where anyone can enjoy driving. When I first heard about the idea of creating a private Japanese Club Circuit in Tokyo, I immediately got excited to get involved in this project. The extremely hilly topography offers an astonishing basis for the track and makes the layout absolutely unique in the world. Although we have designed and realized over 80 racetracks worldwide including 19 Formula One circuits, this project was very special to us and we are proud to be part of it. Drivers will enjoy mid-speed, technical sections as well as two high-speed straights of the 3.5 km track, which incorporates highest safety and environmental standards. It will be ideal for all kinds of driver skills. As a car enthusiast and racing driver myself, I can't wait to drive my first laps at this amazing unique track.

Maeda Corporation started its business in 1919 as a civil engineering firm working in mountainous areas. At present, the firm is involved with projects both in and outside of Japan in the areas of dam, tunnel, and bridge construction as well as in the construction of hotels and condominiums. However, we have not been involved in the construction of a road course, until now. When we first heard about the scale of this project, which is like nothing else in the world we’ve heard of, I was taken aback. I can remember the exhilaration I felt at hearing about this ambitious project. I think it will be a real challenge for us but also a project for which the expertise that we’ve accumulated over our 100 years in the business is uniquely suited. The construction will span three years, and over 800 of our workers will be on site. As we perfect various aspects of the project, we are looking forward to its completion.

Getting its start on a small go-kart track, TECPRO barriers became the first barrier to pass the globally recognized FIA Standard We kept in mind that we must protect the lives of all drivers on the circuit, which includes those driving race cars and road cars. We also try to find a color that will blend in with the natural environment and let drivers feel like they are driving through the forest. An extraordinary track and extraordinary hospitality I believe all club members are likely expect the very best of all that life has to offer. It is a pleasure to be included in this group and be a part of this project in Japan.

Accurate and Reliable Insights brings a driver more performance and more enjoyment I was impressed when I saw the track design. It’s a private space surrounded by nature. Perfect to relax after a busy week. The combination of corners reminds me of some corners of the best international race tracks on the globe. The clubhouse is also very beautiful, and I really want to drive on this tricky course. THE MAGARIGAWA CLUB will be a club loved by the world. Starting from timing systems for radio-controlled cars, MYLAPS grew towards the highest levels of racing globally, in terms of all motorsports, horse racing, running and cycling. Now we are very pleased to be able to contribute to improving the performance of club members.

A circuit like no other created by the world-renowned racetrack designer Tilke Engineers & Architects I’ve designed many circuits over the last three decades, and each and every one of them is truly unique. Whether it’s designing for the F1, for motorcycle racing, or for the spectators, I refuse to limit myself to existing concepts. So it’s been one challenge after another for me. Which is why, when a project is finally completed, I feel a real sense of joy. Once the circuit is finished, I’d love to be the first one to drive it!/p>

Designing and managing traditional Japanese gardens and landscapes for over 170 yearsEstablished as a garden and landscaping firm during the final years of Japan’s Edo Period, our company has been planting, designing, and nurturing gardens for over 170 years-and staying true to our traditions. Recently, we transplanted a large tree that has been living since the Edo Period. While we made use of high-tech machinery for its transport, we also leveraged traditional tree-handling skills which we’ve developed over the generations. We believe that it is essential to leverage not only the latest technology but also traditional techniques, making use of one or the other or both depending on the situation. When we first heard about the plan to build the world’s first private driving course here in Japan, we wondered what part our firm would have to play in the project. Now, we are truly excited about and thoroughly engaged in it. We hope that people from around the world will come and appreciate the unique beauty Japan has to offer.

Whenever I’m working on a design, I ask myself two questions: Does this building work with the surrounding environment? And, is this design unique, a design that can only be found here? My design for the clubhouse at THE MAGARIGAWA CLUB was inspired by “Shinden-Zukuri”, an architectural style that can be traced back to Japan’s Heian period. The design of the clubhouse is a fusion of traditional elements and modern technology. While its motif is centered on a traditional Japanese style emphasizing a harmonious relationship with nature, it also expresses the sensation of speed and excitement of motorsports through the use of glass, metal, and cutting-edge technology. Achieving balance with the natural environment is a key feature of Japanese aesthetics. In regards to the other buildings that I designed, I think I was able to develop a style that works in harmony with the surrounding environment by choosing a nature-based motif and making use of the topography of the location. I think what makes the MAGARIGAWA Club truly unique—and really like no other driving club in the world—is this fusion of traditional Japanese aesthetics with advanced technology and its harmonious existence in the natural environment.

It’s been over four decades since I first became involved in motorsports. And, over the years, I’ve driven in all sorts of environments. In recent years however, in order to further master my driving techniques and more fully enjoy driving my favorite vehicles, I’ve found myself driving mainly at racing circuits here in Japan. MAGARIGAWA’s course is like no other, featuring uphill curves and replicating unique aspects of Japanese roads. It is also challenging, encouraging you to envision navigating Japan’s narrow, winding “Touge” mountain passes. Instead of being a place for competitive racing, the driving course at MAGARIGAWA is suited ideally for learning, practicing, and improving one’s skills behind the wheel—independent of your level of experience or the performance of your automobile. I hope other motorsports enthusiasts will make use of MAGARIGAWA’s driving course in order to better understand the capabilities of their automobiles, learn how to best handle their cars on the road, and enjoy driving like never before. It is also my hope that, by taking lessons with me and my team, you will be able to achieve your car’s full potential and experience all that your vehicle has to offer.

Ensuring our members and their guests receive exceptional service and hospitalityIt was a few years ago when we first heard about the plan to build a private driving course here in Japan. And as we learned more about the ambitious project—to build what will not only be a first in Japan but in the world—we grew more interested and excited. Now the dream is finally becoming a reality. Because a facility of this kind has yet to be operated in Japan, a process of trial and error will be inevitable in the beginning as all those involved in the project work exceptionally hard to realize their vision. It is not true that long-established firms like ours never change. We are constantly taking on new challenges, which eventually become a part of our history and traditions that are inherited and improved over time. With THE MAGARIGAWA CLUB, we are embarking on yet another new challenge as our firms collaborate to produce a kind of private driving course which would only be possible here in Japan. In this endeavor, we will be integrating cutting-edge technology with Japanese culture and Omotenashi—genuine hospitality. We think this will be the start of something truly extraordinary.
